CMTU will be tying flies during the November, December, January, and February monthly meetings. Here is the schedule:

This month's fly is the Golden Retriever. Below are the materials that you will use (proivded by CMTU) and directions. Additional guidance will be provided during the meeting.

 

 

Materials:


Hook size 10 9672 Mustad
Thread 6/0 Red
Bead 5/32 Brass
Lead .020


Tail:


    Tan Marabou


Body:


    Peach standard Estaz
    Root beer standard Estaz
    Alt name: Ice Chenille Medium

 

Steps:

  1. Put bead on hook.
  2. Cover hook with red thread (will show through Estaz).
  3. Put on tail.
  4. Put on body material.
  5. Whip finish.
