Hello Cold Water Fisheries Advocates,

The weather is certainly starting to reflect some winter temperatures.

Not sure if you made the Fly Fishing Show, but that was a nice way to turn the corner and start looking forward to that first cast.

The February meeting will be held at the Auburn Sportsman’s Club.

Dave Fox will lead us with some excellent instruction on the Classic Woolly Bugger. This is a must have in your box and is a good way to get some of the "Rust" off your tying game and prepare for a big 2024 fish season. Bring your own equipment, but we also have some vises and tools if this is your first time. This pattern is a great one to start your tying career.

And you will need those Woolly Buggers for the "On The Water" meetings starting in March. We are looking to add to our yearly calendar opportunities to try out some of the local and not so local waters. We’ve put together a list but are always looking for your recommendations. Here is what we have for our menu:

And there will be more. Certainly a visit to the Swift is in order. Maybe a night time event with Mice!

I joined TU to meet people and fish with friends. I see this as an opportunity to get out there on some waters you know and some new waters. In addition, you’ll meet some fellow fisherman for future fishing excursions.
