February Chapter Meeting –

Hello Central MA Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

Notice: The February meeting will be on February 6 at 6 PM to 8ish. Pizza is Included. Come on over (or join remotely - see bottom of Newsletter for connection details.

We are through January and looking forward to a short February and then the hatches begin! We continue to tie flies at our monthly meetings and look forward to another fun evening on the Vise to support fun on the streams.

And, we continue with our focus on the Quinie Dam. The project is moving along and we will be discussing opportunities for our chapter's involvement.

Fishing Pier - Our chapter is in the process of submitting an application to obtain moneys for the building of a fishing structure to provide an means of more fisherman to enjoy fishing the river. we will be discussing the application and any additional information before our submission.

We are interested in thoughts and ideas for improvements to the Quinie. This can be in the form of projects or multi-media ideas to communicate this project to others and gain their interest and support.

In addition to our major conservation project, we are looking at some fishing events to get you out and on the stream. We will be looking into getting the details on the "Caddis Weekend" which is an event that is put on by the MA TU Council. This is on the Deerfield River and provides a great weekend for meeting other chapters, learning new skills and testing your techniques on this wonderful coldwater fishery. They say the caddis hatches at this time of year are epic.
